whoo happy chinese new year everyone(:
the long break was good, though it kinda ends today and its back to school tmr :( i heart my cousins <3 yuanfeng hongling shihui shirui ruishan jiayi(my sister) nicholas peiyi jiawei(brother) (: 10 of us altogether! :D all of us used to gather at my grandma's house every saturday.. been doing so ever since we were born haha. but as we grow older, my biao ge kinda stopped going. then we see him like maybe twice every year or sth. and he's like 21 years old now omg la but somehow he still dont look 21 to me, i think i'll forever see him as the 8 year old biao ge when im 5 haha. and i think starting from last year, i stopped going back on sat too even though i was living at my grandma's house then. and yeaaa very soon all of us kinda stayed away and saturday was no longer a "family" day but just one of the days of the week! hmm. its nice to see everyone gathered together. though chu yi was spent nuahing and wasting the day away at my grandma's house. chu er and yesterday were more fun, played cards haha and got to see my biao ge again. :D won some money at cards yeay. as we grow older i think the magic and the whole festive mood of cny sort of faded.. didnt even find shopping for new year clothes very fun.. sort of rushed the shopping and still couldnt find anything. it was exasperating and not fun at all. and cny somehow didnt seem as happening and as grand and as fun and as loud as the previous years when i was small. haha maybe when you're small you look at everything it all seems so big and grand and happening:)
was supposed to go heather's house yesterday night but had to go my aunty's instead. didnt regret though, i go my aunty's house like maybe once a year. and it was fun playing cards. today was supposed to have an m.a.d outing/reunion dinner haha but guess what whoo i changed then fell asleep-.- and everyone keeps daoing my messages so i dont know who's going to be there and everything. so when i woke up i changed back to home clothes took off my contacts and came online. haiiiiiii. shall go and attempt to do some work soon.
took a walk with my uncle (da jiu) to the shops near my aunty's house yesterday after dinner. he was telling me about life, and about how he used to give tuition to get money to pay his school fees, about how he wanted to continue studying but cant cause they were too poor so he came out to work. haha, it seems very typical of what the adults always say, but somehow when he said all those stuff yesterday it felt different haha. like he's not teaching me or scolding me to not spend too much money, but sharing with him (part of) his life story:) i think he's the only adult who doesnt treat us like little kids, and ever since we were young, even though he doesnt have time, he always tries to be there, always makes random jokes which are sometimes not very funny HAHA, takes every opportunity to share with us about life, how life was for him and how it has changed, but never saying we take stuff for granted because he says he trusts us and believes that we can think for ourselves and make our own decisions. very supportive of whatever we do even though he barely knows half the things we're doing hahaha. i really love my da jiu alot. :D
